Peter Schweizer

Peter Schweizer is the co-founder and President of the Government Accountability Institute, which was formed to fight and expose cronyism and corruption in government. He is the author of eight New York Times bestsellers, including five #1s such as “The Invisible Coup,” “Blood Money,” “Red Handed,” “Profiles in Corruption,” and “Secret Empires”. His books have been translated into 11 languages.

Between 1999 and 2015, he was the William J. Casey Fellow at the Hoover Institution, Stanford University. He was a consultant to the Office of Presidential Speechwriting in the White House from 2008-9.

His books have directly impacted the national discourse and have been featured twice on CBS’s “60 Minutes” as well as on the front pages of The New York Times and Wall Street Journal. His book “Clinton Cash” spawned an FBI investigation of the Clinton Foundation. “Throw Them All Out” exposed insider trading on the stock market by members of Congress and was credited with leading to the passage of the STOCK Act, restricting such practices. His book “Victory,” about the Reagan strategy that won the cold war, has been credited with inspiring Trump Administration policy toward Iran.

His written work has also appeared in Foreign Affairs, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, Defense Nationale (France), ORBIS: A Journal of World Affairs, National Review, etc. He received his M.Phil. in International Relations from Oxford University and his B.A. from George Washington University.
