Peter Kolchinsky

Peter Kolchinsky, Ph.D., is a scientist and investor with extensive experience in healthcare and life sciences investing. Kolchinsky is a founder and managing partner of RA Capital Management, a multi-stage investment manager focused on evidence-based investing in healthcare and life science companies developing drugs, medical devices, diagnostics, services, and research tools. He began his career researching HIV at Harvard, where he earned his doctorate, before co-founding RA Capital Management, a Boston-based investment firm dedicated to supporting the development of new medicines.

Kolchinsky is active in both public and private investments in companies advancing drug development, medical devices, diagnostics, and research tools, and serves on the boards of publicly and privately held life science companies. He has served on the boards of directors of ICOSAVAX, Inc., a vaccine development company, and WAVE Life Sciences, Ltd., a biotechnology company focused on therapies for genetically defined diseases, as well as several private companies. RA Capital's flexible strategy enables the firm to provide seed funding to startups and lead private, IPO, and follow-on financings, supporting management teams from inception through commercialization.
