Pentatonix

With three Grammy Awards and multi-platinum sales, Pentatonix, also known as PTX, has become one of the most successful vocal groups of the modern era. The a cappella powerhouse has sold nearly 10 million albums worldwide and continues to draw sold-out audiences across the globe. Their YouTube channel, known for pop-driven vocal arrangements featuring intricate harmonies, basslines, percussion and beatboxing, has more than 14.5 million subscribers and has generated more than 3 billion views.

Comprised of Scott Hoying, Mitch Grassi, Kirstin Maldonado, Matt Sallee and Kevin Olusola, Pentatonix has placed nine albums in the Top 10 of Billboard’s 200 chart, including two that debuted at No. 1. Their self-titled 2015 album entered the chart at No. 1 and is certified gold. The group has earned multiple RIAA certifications across albums and singles, spanning multi-platinum, platinum and gold releases. In 2023, Pentatonix was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

First gaining attention with the release of “PTX, Vol. 1” in 2012, followed by the holiday EP “PTXmas,” the group has been equally recognized for original music and inventive reinterpretations. Their first original single in five years, “Happy Now,” was released in 2020.

Pentatonix has also maintained a strong television and film presence, including two holiday specials on NBC, an appearance in “Pitch Perfect 2,” and performances at major events such as the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and “Christmas in Rockefeller Center.” Their 2015 tour documentary, “On My Way Home,” offered a behind-the-scenes look at their rise. The holiday album “A Pentatonix Christmas Deluxe” is certified platinum, and in 2023 the group announced a new compilation, “The Greatest Christmas Hits.”
