Paul E. Wolfe

Paul E. Wolfe is a human-first leadership advocate with more than two decades of experience influencing organizational approaches to people, workplace culture, and empathy in the workplace. Wolfe has held executive human resources roles at companies including Indeed, Condé Nast, Match.com, Ticketmaster, and Orbitz. As the inaugural senior vice president and head of human resources for Indeed, Wolfe oversaw the company's growth from several hundred employees to more than 12,000, leading a comprehensive HR function that included talent attraction, employee development, total rewards, diversity and inclusion, HR analytics, operations, employee experience, and real estate.

During his tenure at Indeed, Wolfe guided the organization through significant challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic, prioritizing employee health and safety. He emphasized transparency and vulnerability in leadership, sharing his own mental health experiences with colleagues and fostering a culture of empathy and support.

Wolfe is the author of the book "Human Beings First," which outlines eight practices for empathetic and expressive leadership, providing real-life examples of how leaders can foster authenticity, trust, and inclusion in the workplace. He also hosts the "52 Humans" vlogcast, a weekly video podcast focused on the human side of workplace experiences.

Wolfe serves as a board member at PayScale and as an HR venture advisor for SemperVirens Venture Capital. As a keynote speaker and industry expert, Wolfe addresses topics such as business growth, human resources, corporate culture, mental health, diversity and inclusion, LGBTQ issues, DEI, leadership, teamwork, and belonging.
