Pau Gasol

Pau Gasol is a former professional basketball player, known for his remarkable career in the NBA and with the Spanish National Team. He is the president of the Gasol Foundation, a member of the International Olympic Committee, and the president of Gasol16 Ventures, through which he invests in and advises projects related to sports, health, and wellness. Beyond his athletic achievements, Gasol is a philanthropist and a leader in promoting healthy living and social impact.

Gasol began his career with FC Barcelona before becoming the second Spaniard to play in the NBA, where he quickly made his mark by winning the Rookie of the Year award with the Memphis Grizzlies. He went on to win two NBA championships with the Los Angeles Lakers and was a six-time All-Star. As a key player for the Spanish National Team, Gasol led Spain to a World Championship title and earned three Olympic medals.

Off the court, Gasol is a champion of social causes. Along with his brother Marc, he founded the Gasol Foundation, which promotes healthy lifestyles among children. In 2022, he collaborated with the Spanish government to launch a national strategy to combat childhood obesity.
