Pattie Sellers

Pattie Sellers is a writer, producer, and multimedia journalist whose three-decade career at Fortune Magazine established her as a trusted voice in American business journalism. Before launching her own venture, Sellers served as an assistant managing editor at Fortune, writing more than 20 cover stories and profiling CEOs and global leaders. Her notable profiles include pieces on Martha Stewart, Meg Whitman, Ted Turner, and Oprah Winfrey. Sellers has covered topics such as career management, leadership, ego, charisma, and resilience.

Sellers co-founded Fortune's Most Powerful Women (MPW) and helped build it into the magazine's largest franchise. The MPW initiative expanded from an annual ranking of top women in business to a major multimedia franchise, with Sellers overseeing MPW conferences and events worldwide. She also co-founded and directed programs such as the Fortune/U.S. State Department Global Women's Mentoring Partnership and the Goldman Sachs-Fortune Global Women Leaders Award. Sellers received Time Inc.'s MVP Award for her work. Her approach to business journalism and executive interviews was profiled in Washington Post in an article titled "The Rolodex that Redefined Power."

After her tenure at Fortune Magazine, Sellers and Nina Easton launched SellersEaston Media to tell stories of leadership and impact. At SellersEaston, Sellers writes books, produces videos and films, and creates multimedia content for CEOs, prominent families, global nonprofits, and Fortune 500 companies. Sellers executive-produced the HBO Max film "Gumbo Coalition," directed by Barbara Kopple, which highlights the civil rights partnership of National Urban League CEO Marc Morial and UnidosUS CEO Janet Murguía. SellersEaston also produced "Port of Destiny: Peace," which tells the story of a Nobel Peace Prize winner.

Sellers is co-founder of JOURNEY, a nonprofit focused on accelerating diversity and the trajectory of women in leadership. JOURNEY aims to change the face of top leadership in the private sector by supporting diverse classes of fellows who are innovators and mission-driven leaders. Sellers received the Women of Power Award at the National Urban League Conference in Nashville. A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Virginia, Sellers is recognized for her journalistic rigor, executive relationships, and commitment to amplifying stories of leadership and impact.
