Omar Hatamleh

Dr. Omar Hatamleh is a global thought leader and author of multiple books on artificial intelligence. He was the first Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, the largest community of scientists and engineers in the United States. Prior to his current role he was the Chief Advisor for Artificial Intelligence and Innovation at Goddard Space Flight Center. He is responsible for creating the AI Strategy and identifying and integrating cutting-edge AI and technology solutions that support NASA's missions and goals. He lead the AI strategy for NASA 2040 at HQ, and was the former Chief Innovation Officer, Engineering at NASA JSC, and the Executive Director of the Space Studies Program at International Space University.

Dr. Hatamleh is also a professor at Collegio Libre de Emeritos in Spain. He has 29 years’ experience at NASA and has published over 33 international journal articles in engineering with over 1400 citations. He has received multiple awards and recognitions from NASA, including the Silver Achievement Medal, the NASA Innovation Award, and the Superior Achievement Award. He holds four engineering degrees and speaks four languages.

Dr. Hatamleh is recognized as one of the Top 100 Global Thought Leaders in Artificial Intelligence and Innovation and has been an invited keynote speaker to various events including G20, United Nations, Google, IBM, Dell, Microsoft, and European Investment Fund, and has been featured across major international media platforms including CNN, Forbes, ABC, El Mundo, El Pais, and others.
