Oksana Masters

Oksana Masters is one of the most decorated Paralympic athletes in the world, celebrated for her extraordinary achievements across multiple sports. Born in Ukraine in 1989, she was born with several limb differences caused by radiation exposure from the Chernobyl disaster. She spent her early childhood in orphanages before being adopted at age seven by an American mother who brought her to the United States, where she began a journey that would eventually lead her to international athletic stardom.

Masters first rose to prominence in adaptive rowing, winning a bronze medal for Team USA at the 2012 Paralympic Games in London. She later transitioned to winter sports and quickly established herself as a dominant competitor in cross-country skiing and biathlon. Her success expanded further when she began competing in para-cycling, where she earned additional Paralympic medals and world championship titles.

Over the course of her career, Masters has won numerous Paralympic medals across both Summer and Winter Games, making her one of the rare athletes to excel in multiple sports disciplines.
