Mushfiqa Monica Jamaluddin

Mushfiqa Monica Jamaluddin is a futurist, facilitator, and executive coach with experience guiding individuals and organizations through complex transitions. Combining a background in finance, technology, strategy, and operations with a master's degree in strategic foresight, Jamaluddin applies a transdisciplinary approach to her work in leadership development, organizational change, and futures thinking.

Central to Jamaluddin's work is an exploration of relationality—how the ways people relate to themselves, others, and their environments can influence outcomes and possibilities. Her expertise as a futurist informs her coaching practice, emphasizing the value of long-term thinking to foster agency, resilience, and adaptability amid uncertainty and change.

Jamaluddin holds an MSc in Foresight from the University of Houston, a BBA from the University of Texas at Austin with a focus on finance, ethics, and leadership, and a Leadership Coaching Certificate from Georgetown University's Institute for Transformational Leadership. She serves as a visiting researcher at the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology, where she and her collaborators received the OIST-COI Early-Career Scientists Grant for developing a framework for designing multiscalar behavioral interventions from an embodied, enactive, and ecological perspective. Jamaluddin has presented research at the World Futures Studies Federation's 50th Anniversary Conference, including work featured in the book "Scenario Planning and Futures Thinking."

Jamaluddin has coached and advised senior and mid-level leaders at Fortune 500 companies such as Amazon, Electronic Arts, Dropbox, NVIDIA, VMware, the International Atomic Energy Agency, Disney, Summit Series, and the US military. Her foresight and strategy consulting includes projects for UNDP, the UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention, and Entrepreneur Middle East. With global experience spanning Bhutan, the United States, Ghana, and Ecuador, and fluency in Bengali, Spanish, and some Japanese, Jamaluddin brings a multicultural perspective to her work in executive coaching and strategic foresight.

Specializing in facilitating group processes and one-on-one coaching, Jamaluddin focuses on leveraging liminality for transformation, supporting leaders in aligning long-term visions with actionable strategies. She has facilitated global workshops on leadership, deep listening, futures thinking, design futures, team building, gender equality, women's empowerment, and embodied storytelling. Her experiential futures project, "Future of Sex and Intimacy 2052," won first place in the Master's Group category of the Association of Professional Futurists' Student Recognition Awards. The project was exhibited at the University of Houston's Spring Gathering, at APF's virtual Futures Festival, and at the World Futures Studies Federation's 50th Anniversary Gathering. Jamaluddin's work is guided by a commitment to helping leaders shift organizational cultures from scarcity to abundance, fostering environments that support growth, innovation, and expanded possibilities.
