Mohan Sundararaj

Mohan Sundararaj is a global health and human rights leader, serving as managing director of Grindr for Equality, the social impact initiative of the world’s largest LGBTQ+ social networking platform. With a background as a physician and public health expert, Sundararaj has directed more than $45 million toward community initiatives advancing LGBTQ+ health and equality across more than 30 countries, influencing national health policies, major AIDS funders, and United Nations agencies through strategic partnerships and advocacy.

Sundararaj’s career includes leadership in designing and managing programs addressing HIV, LGBTQ rights, mental health, and COVID-19, as well as expertise in grant-making, cross-functional collaboration, and community mobilization. He has contributed to expanding The Trevor Project’s global reach, including establishing a digital mental health support operation for LGBTQ+ youth in Mexico, and has managed public health portfolios focused on sexual health and community resilience.

Sundararaj is a speaker and published author, contributing to handbooks and technical reports on gay men’s health and rights. His work with organizations such as MPact Global Action for Gay Men’s Health and Rights and consulting roles with major foundations highlight his subject matter expertise in LGBTQ+ health, public health policy, and advocacy for marginalized communities.
