Mike Babcock

Mike Babcock is a professional hockey coach recognized for his extensive championship experience and significant impact on the National Hockey League. Babcock holds a 700-418-183 regular-season coaching record over parts of 17 NHL seasons and 1,301 games. Through 164 games in 14 postseason appearances, he ranks among the all-time leaders in coaching wins. His NHL head coaching career began with the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, whom he led to the Stanley Cup Final. Babcock later joined the Detroit Red Wings, guiding them to a Stanley Cup victory and leading the team to the playoffs each season during his tenure, while setting a record for most wins in Red Wings history.

Babcock's achievements extend to international hockey, where he is the only coach to have led teams to a Stanley Cup win, an Olympic gold medal, an IIHF World Championship, and a World Cup of Hockey title. These accomplishments earned him membership in the International Ice Hockey Federation's Triple Gold Club, awarded to those who have won Olympic gold, World Championship gold, and a Stanley Cup.
