Mike & Nick Fiorito

Mike Fiorito and Nick Fiorito are Brooklyn-based brothers and social entrepreneurs who co-founded Blankets of Hope, a nonprofit organization focused on inspiring a global movement of kindness. The brothers left corporate careers—Mike from a technology startup and Nick from a Fortune 500 company in Manhattan—in pursuit of more meaningful work. Their journey into nonprofit leadership began when Nick, moved by the experience of seeing a homeless man during his daily commute, launched a GoFundMe campaign to provide blankets to those in need. Mike joined the effort, and together they distributed 100 blankets, each accompanied by a handwritten note of encouragement.

Blankets of Hope evolved from a family project into a recognized nonprofit organization, expanding its reach through partnerships with schools and community organizations. The organization provides blankets to the homeless population during winter and collaborates with schools across the United States, Mexico, and Canada to promote empathy and kindness among students. The Fiorito brothers also work with VA Medical Centers to support homeless veterans.

A key component of Blankets of Hope is its school partnership program, which includes a virtual kindness workshop featuring meditative practices and empathy exercises. Students participate by writing notes that accompany each blanket, reinforcing the organization’s mission to foster compassion and social impact. The Fiorito brothers have been recognized as GoFundMe Heroes, and their work has been featured in national media, including appearances on "Fox & Friends" and as part of a Lay's campaign highlighting changemakers.

In addition to their nonprofit work, Mike Fiorito and Nick Fiorito have developed a personal brand as entrepreneurs and podcasters, sharing insights on kindness, mindfulness, and purpose-driven leadership. Both practice daily meditation and have completed silent meditation retreats, experiences that inform their approach to leadership and public speaking. The brothers appeared on Season 37 of "The Amazing Race," where their teamwork and commitment to their mission reached a national audience.
