Michael Towers

Michael Towers is a leadership and mental health speaker, empathy expert, and certified counselor focused on transforming workplace culture by prioritizing employee well-being within organizational strategy. Towers delivers mental health and wellness programs designed to build resilience, enhance performance, and foster healthier workplaces. With more than 25 years of personal experience managing mental illness, he brings both personal insight and professional expertise to leadership development and self-care training. As CEO of Speaking of Your Success, Towers is recognized for his work in leadership, mental health, addiction, and college success.

Towers' professional journey is informed by his experience living with bipolar 1 disorder and attention deficit disorder. After a court-ordered visit to a psychiatrist, he identified the root causes of his academic struggles, substance use, and personal and professional challenges as untreated mental illness. Through treatment and participation in a male accountability group, Towers achieved sobriety and stability. He holds an associate and bachelor's degree, graduating magna cum laude, and is a certified mental health and addiction counselor as well as a mental health first aid instructor.

Towers uses his expertise in mental health and chemical dependency counseling to support individuals seeking to improve their lives. His keynote programs, including "An Exceptional Leader C.A.R.E.S.," "Extreme Mental Health Makeover," and "Limitless Leadership Is an Inside Job," provide leaders and human resources professionals with practical frameworks for cultivating psychologically safe and high-performing workplaces.
