Michael Smerconish

Michael Smerconish is a prominent figure in media and law. He is known for his work on SiriusXM's POTUS Channel, where he hosts "The Michael Smerconish Program". His work in broadcast also includes his weekly program on CNN and CNN International, as well as guest appearances on CNN's "TalkBack Live" and MSNBC's "Scarborough Country". Smerconish took his media career to another level in 2014 when he began hosting his own program on CNN, aptly titled "Smerconish". His television career also includes an autobiographical film, "Things I Wish I Knew Before I Started Talking", which aired on CNN in July 2020.

In addition to his work in broadcasting, Smerconish is also an accomplished author, having written seven books. Among these, "Muzzled: From T-Ball to Terrorism" achieved New York Times bestseller status. His other works include "Flying Blind: How Political Correctness Continues to Compromise Airline Safety Post 9/11", "Murdered by Mumia", and "Instinct: The Man Who Stopped the 20th Hijacker". His fiction work, "Talk: A Novel", was optioned for television by Warner Horizon Television. Smerconish also released a collection of political cartoons titled "Smercomics 2024", with proceeds raising $200,000 for the Children’s Crisis Treatment Center.

Not limiting his skills to broadcasting and writing, Smerconish has also made significant contributions to the legal field, serving as counsel at the Philadelphia law firm Kline & Specter. He has been involved in political advocacy, filing a lawsuit for the rights of independently registered voters to participate in Pennsylvania's primary elections. His influence and impact have been recognized with numerous honors and awards, including being named one of America's most important talk show hosts by Talkers Magazine and Philadelphia's best talk show host by Philadelphia magazine in 2004. He has also received honorary degrees from Widener University, Delaware Valley College, and the University of the Sciences.
