Michael Fertik

Michael Fertik is the founder and Executive Chairman of Reputation, a company focused on online reputation and privacy management. A pioneer in the field of digital reputation protection, he is credited with helping establish online reputation management as an industry and holds multiple technology patents.

Fertik is also founder of Heroic Ventures, a Palo Alto-based venture capital firm that specializes in "first-money" and formation-stage investing, primarily in Silicon Valley and Israel.

Fertik has served on the World Economic Forum’s Agenda Council on the Future of the Internet and was recognized as a World Economic Forum Technology Pioneer in 2011. He has written for Harvard Business Review, Reuters, Inc.com, and Newsweek, and is a LinkedIn Influencer who frequently comments on technology, entrepreneurship, and digital policy.

He is co-author of "Wild West 2.0" (2010) and the New York Times bestseller "The Reputation Economy" (2015). Fertik founded his first internet company while at Harvard College and later earned his J.D. from Harvard Law School, where he has also taught.

In addition to his work with Reputation.com, he is the founder and managing partner of Heroic Ventures, an early-stage technology investment firm. Fertik continues to speak and write on the future of privacy, technology, and business.
