Melanie Johnson

Melanie Churella Johnson is a media executive, publishing entrepreneur, and Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestselling author whose career spans broadcast television, real estate, philanthropy, and book publishing. Johnson began her career as a news anchor in Detroit after winning the title of Miss Michigan and becoming first runner-up to Miss America. She has also served as a producer, financial strategist, and worked in public relations, promotions, television ad sales, and programming negotiations. A graduate of Michigan State University with a degree in communications, she was the first girl to receive a varsity letter in a boys' sport in Michigan.

Johnson entered the media industry by owning and operating two television stations in Houston and Dallas, which grew to be valued at more than $100 million. Her career includes owning television stations, navigating financial challenges, and redefining the publishing landscape. After writing her own books and achieving number one bestseller status twice, Johnson founded a publishing and marketing company in Houston to help other authors reach similar success.

The company has published more than 3,000 books, helping all its authors achieve number one bestseller status. Elite Online Publishing specializes in publishing, marketing, and promoting nonfiction books for business owners and athletes to create expert authority and marketing impact. Johnson has published number one bestselling books for clients such as Jamey Rootes, former president of the Houston Texans, and Dr. Laura Murillo, CEO of the Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

Johnson is a Wall Street Journal and USA Today 16-time bestselling author and TEDx speaker. Her works include the bestselling books "Strategic Writing System" and "Life Legacy Challenge." She is also the co-host of the podcasts "Elite Expert Insider" and "Elite Publishing Podcast." Her TEDx talk, "Leaving a Legacy: The Time is Now," highlights her commitment to helping individuals share their stories and expertise.

Johnson also founded Charity Auction Consignments, which has helped charities raise more than $600,000.
