Melanie Deziel is a keynote speaker, author, and branded content creator whose career spans journalism and marketing. She holds an undergraduate degree in journalism from the University of Connecticut and a master's degree in arts editing from Syracuse University's Newhouse School.
Deziel's work at The New York Times's T Brand Studio includes the multimedia project "Women Inmates," created in alignment with the Netflix series "Orange Is The New Black." Following her newsroom experience, Deziel founded StoryFuel, an education and consulting firm focused on content marketing and brand storytelling. She has developed and taught graduate-level courses in content marketing at Fairleigh Dickinson University and City University of New York, and has guest lectured at institutions including New York University, Syracuse, Temple, and the University of Connecticut. Deziel has supported dozens of Fortune 100 companies with their content strategies and has delivered keynotes and workshops internationally.
Deziel is the author of "The Content Fuel Framework: How to Generate Unlimited Story Ideas" and "Prove It: Exactly How Modern Marketers Earn Trust." She has spoken at industry events such as Content Marketing World, SXSW, Social Media Marketing World, and Inbound, and her keynotes have been live-translated into multiple languages. Her work on stage has earned recognition at the Digital Summit Series.
In addition to her professional work in content strategy and marketing, Deziel is an advocate for autistic women, writing the biweekly newsletter "The Late Diagnosed Diaries" on Substack.
