Matthew Pine

Matthew Pine is President and Chief Executive Officer of Xylem Inc., a global water technology leader dedicated to addressing critical water and infrastructure challenges through innovation and advanced solutions in more than 150 countries. He has led Xylem’s approximately 23,000 employees since January 2024 and also serves on the company’s Board of Directors.

Pine joined Xylem in 2020 and previously served as Chief Operating Officer, where he oversaw the company’s global business segments and regions, including Applied Water and Measurement & Control Solutions. With more than 25 years of experience in general management, sales, marketing, and digital transformation, he has held senior leadership roles at United Technologies Corporation, Vestas Wind Systems, Lennox International Inc., and Trane Residential & Light Commercial Systems.

Under his leadership, Xylem focuses on simplifying water management challenges, scaling differentiated technologies, and delivering profitable growth that enhances water security and sustainability for customers and communities worldwide. Pine champions inclusive workplace initiatives and corporate citizenship through Xylem’s Watermark program, which has delivered access to safe water and sanitation to millions. He holds an MBA in Finance from Northeastern University and a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from the University of Alabama.
