Matt Blashaw Biography
Matt Blashaw began his building career at a very young age in his dad’s lumberyard. Construction is in his blood. Growing up in his father’s lumberyard in Orange County, Calif., Blashaw’s early hands-on experience laid the foundation for his expertise and passion in construction. After graduating from Chapman University, he ventured into various roles within the construction and entertainment industries, gaining valuable knowledge in show effects and electrical installation during a notable stint with Disney’s technical services group.
Blashaw has become one of the most trusted voices in the build and design communities and has hosted such HGTV/DIY Network shows as "America’s Most Desperate Landscapes," "Yard Crashers," "Project Xtreme," "Money Hunters," "Blog Cabin," "Deconstruction," "Professional Grade" and more.
Today, Blashaw is a licensed contractor, designer, realtor, and real estate entrepreneur. Blashaw is currently based in Missouri with his wife and son, and most recently starred in the HGTV show "Built it Forward" where community members are selected for a surprise home renovation of their dreams.
