Martin Pistorius

Martin Pistorius is a freelance web designer and developer, known for his poignant autobiography "Ghost Boy," which he co-wrote with Megan Lloyd Davies in 2011. The book has received extensive coverage and numerous reviews, highlighting Pistorius' experiences and insights into living with locked-in syndrome. His story has been shared by major media outlets, including BBC, NBC News, and The Washington Post, shedding light on his journey of recovery and resilience. He is the subject of the Oscar-contending documentary "Ghost Boy."

Pistorius has also shared his story through various public speaking engagements. In 2015, he delivered a TED Talk titled "How my mind came back to life — and no one knew" at a TEDx event in Kansas City. He recounted his personal experience of regaining control over his head and arms and learning to communicate using a speech computer.
