Mark Meier Biography
Meier founded Face It in 2009 for one simple reason: Collectively, we need to do a better job of helping men who battle depression.
Meier holds a Master’s degree in social work and has been licensed as a Clinical Social Worker for 28 years. He has taught and lectured on depression to mental health professionals hundreds of times across the United States and has served on the staff of the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health in the University of Minnesota’s School of Medicine, as well as in the Graduate School of Social Work. However, Meier believes it is his own experience with depression that has most effectively positioned him to lead Face It and support the men who come through its doors.
