Malik Rose

Malik Rose is a two-time NBA champion and basketball executive whose career spans professional basketball, sports management, and broadcasting. Rose began his professional basketball career when he was selected by the Charlotte Hornets in the second round of the NBA Draft, standing 6-foot-7 and playing as a power forward. Prior to the NBA, Rose played at Drexel University, where the Dragons achieved a 96-24 record and earned three NCAA Tournament bids. He graduated with a degree in computer information systems and holds a master's degree in sports management from Drexel. His contributions to the program led to his number being retired by the Drexel Dragons.

Rose played 13 seasons in the NBA, winning championships with the San Antonio Spurs and later playing for the New York Knicks and Oklahoma City Thunder. During the Spurs' championship season, he averaged career highs in points and rebounds. After retiring as a player, Rose transitioned to broadcasting, serving as a television analyst, including four seasons with the Philadelphia 76ers.

Rose joined the Atlanta Hawks as manager of basketball operations before being promoted to general manager of the Erie BayHawks. In his first season as an NBA G League general manager, the team finished with a 28-22 record and reached the playoffs as the third seed in the Eastern Conference. Rose was named NBA G League Basketball Executive of the Year, as selected by his peers.

Rose later became assistant general manager of the Detroit Pistons and subsequently joined the NBA front office as vice president of basketball operations. In this capacity, he worked with teams and players on league programs, rules, and new initiatives. Rose was later named head of basketball operations for the NBA G League, where he leads efforts to expand the league's talent pipeline and oversees NBA G League Ignite. Rose's experience as a player, broadcaster, and executive positions him as a knowledgeable leader in professional basketball, sports management, and league operations.
