Maggie Coleman

Maggie Coleman serves as chief investment officer for North America, real estate equity, and co-head of global portfolio management, real estate at Manulife Investment Management. In this role, Coleman leads the development and execution of investment strategies, manages key operator and general partner relationships, and oversees portfolio risk and performance across the firm’s North American real estate business. Her responsibilities include structuring and executing major ventures, capital formation, and integrating innovative products, with a focus on achieving optimal outcomes for Manulife’s clients.

Before joining Manulife, Coleman was a founding member and managing partner at Sera Global, where she established and led the global private capital advisory business for real assets. During her tenure as senior managing director and head of international capital at JLL, Coleman directed cross-border capital deployment across the Americas, Europe, and Asia-Pacific, placing offshore capital into direct transactions, joint ventures, and recapitalizations. Her expertise in global capital flows and strategic planning has positioned her as a frequent speaker at industry events and conferences, including Milken Institute Global Conference and Informa Connect’s Global Property Market.

Coleman is an active member of the ULI Foundation Board, chairs ULI’s Mixed Use Development Council, and serves on the boards of the Association of Foreign Investors in Real Estate and the Jackson Chance Foundation. She regularly addresses emerging trends and innovation in real estate, with a focus on alternative property sectors, operational expertise, and strategic partnerships.
