Lynn Rae

Lynn Rae is a keynote speaker, author, and success coach known for her work in mental health advocacy. Diagnosed with depression at age 30 and bipolar disorder at 35, Rae has lived with these conditions for decades, experiencing multiple hospitalizations. When two psychiatrists told her at age 39 that she would never work full time again, Rae accepted her diagnosis but not the prognosis.

After working part time in various roles during periods of depression and mania, Rae eventually returned to full-time employment. Her experience with mental illness and recovery forms the foundation of her speaking career, where she addresses topics such as mental health awareness, resilience, and recovery strategies. Rae has spoken at mental health centers, hospitals, conferences, colleges, universities, Rotary Clubs, and libraries. She also contributes a monthly blog post for bp Hope Magazine, reaching individuals living with bipolar disorder.

Rae is the author of two books: "My Journey Back to Myself," which details her experiences with bipolar disorder and recovery, and "The F Book: 7 Fs to Creating Your Fantastic Future," which discusses how Family, Friends, Fun, Fitness, Fulfillment, Finances, and Faith contribute to well-being. Her signature talk, "7 F's to Creating Your Fantastic Future," highlights these principles.

As a speaker, Rae leads workshops such as "The Seven F's to Your Fantastic Future," guiding participants in making decisions related to key aspects of mental health and personal growth. Her contributions to the mental health community have been recognized with the Marilyn Nearing Award from York Support Services Network for her volunteer work. Rae was also featured as the cover story in the Winter Issue of Anchor Magazine. Her story demonstrates the potential for recovery and thriving with mental illness, and her message continues to reach audiences across North America.
