Lovern J. Gordon

Lovern J. Gordon is a nationally recognized domestic violence awareness advocate, keynote speaker, and the founder and president of Love Life Now Foundation, Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting year-round awareness of domestic violence and bridging the gap between shelters and the communities they serve. Gordon’s path to advocacy is rooted in personal experience as a two-time survivor of abuse—first as a child witness to domestic violence in Trinidad and later as a young adult survivor of an abusive relationship in the United States.

Motivated by her experiences and a commitment to ensuring others have access to critical resources, Gordon has focused her career on domestic violence prevention and education. After winning two consecutive beauty pageants in Boston and Los Angeles, she leveraged her platform to further domestic violence awareness. Gordon established Love Life Now Foundation with the goal of educating communities about available resources and increasing awareness through workshops and community initiatives. Her efforts have included hosting events in multiple cities, raising significant funds to benefit shelters across Massachusetts.

Gordon is the author of the memoir "The Legacy He Left Me," which chronicles her experiences with domestic violence. The book has led to a nationwide book and speaking tour, where she is invited by corporations, state agencies, high schools, colleges, and community groups for book signings and speaking engagements. Gordon conducts educational workshops on domestic violence at high schools, college campuses, and workplaces, emphasizing the importance of open dialogue to increase the likelihood that victims seek help. She has also expanded her reach internationally through virtual workshops, connecting with audiences in Saudi Arabia, Nigeria, and the Caribbean.

Gordon has delivered keynote addresses on domestic violence and appeared on television programs including CBS This Morning, Huffington Post Live, Security Brief TV, NBC's This Is New England, WHDH's Urban Update, CBS' Centro, and ABC's Cityline, as well as radio programs for Sirius XM's Jenny Hutt Live, WBZ News, and WBUR 90.9FM. She has been recognized by the Boston Celtics as a Heroes Among Us recipient for her advocacy and was featured by Instagram for Business during Women's HER-story Month. Her work has also been highlighted in Huffington Post, Enterprise News, Boston Voyager, and in Alisa Divine's book, "#SheWins."

Through innovative programming, Gordon continues to advance domestic violence awareness. Initiatives such as the Empowerment Fashion Show, featuring survivors as models, and the White Ribbon Pledge, which encourages men to commit to ending male violence against women, exemplify her approach. Gordon remains a leading voice in domestic violence prevention, advocacy, and education.
