Lorna Luft

Lorna Luft is an American actress, singer, author, and Emmy-nominated producer whose career spans film, television, theater, and live performance. Luft made her show business debut at age 11, singing on the Christmas episode of her mother's CBS television series, "The Judy Garland Show." At 16, she performed alongside her mother on Broadway at the Palace Theater, and by 19, she starred on Broadway in Neil Simon's musical "Promises, Promises."

Luft's stage career includes roles on Broadway in "Promises, Promises" and off-Broadway in "Snoopy" and "Extremities." She has appeared in productions of "Grease," "Mame," "Gypsy," "Little Shop of Horrors," and "The Unsinkable Molly Brown," as well as national tours of "They're Playing Our Song" and "Guys and Dolls." Luft is also known as a concert artist, performing at venues such as The Hollywood Bowl, Madison Square Garden, Carnegie Hall, The London Palladium, and L'Olympia in Paris. She has performed for the Royal Family at London's Royal Albert Hall in concerts honoring Sammy Davis Jr. and Ira Gershwin.

On screen, Luft is recognized for her role as Paulette Rebchuck in the film "Grease 2." She also played Nurse Libby Kegler in the television drama "Trapper John, M.D." for 19 episodes.

As an author, Luft wrote the memoir "Me and My Shadows," which became a New York Times bestseller and was adapted into the Emmy-winning miniseries "Life with Judy Garland: Me and My Shadows." She co-authored "A Star Is Born: Judy Garland and the Film That Got Away," published by Running Press. As a recording artist, Luft released the album "Lorna Luft: Songs My Mother Taught Me" in the United Kingdom, produced by Barry Manilow, and recorded "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas," a duet with her mother, Judy Garland, using advanced audio technology.

Luft is a breast cancer survivor and advocate for breast cancer awareness and research. She has continued to engage audiences through her memoirs, interviews, and live performances, offering insight into classic Hollywood and Broadway while maintaining an active presence in the entertainment industry.
