Lil Mosey, born Lathan Moses Stanley Echols, is a rapper, singer, and songwriter who rose to prominence in the late 2010s with a melodic, West Coast-inflected take on hip-hop. Hailing from Seattle, Mosey developed an early interest in music, drawing inspiration from artists like Meek Mill and Drake. He began recording and releasing songs as a teenager, quickly gaining traction online for his catchy hooks and laid-back delivery.

Mosey broke through in 2018 with his viral single “Pull Up,” which showcased his knack for infectious melodies and helped him build a strong following on platforms like SoundCloud and YouTube. The song’s success led to a record deal and the release of his 2018 debut studio album, Northsbest, which featured standout tracks like “Noticed.” His sound—characterized by minimalist production and sing-song flows—positioned him among a new wave of youthful rap artists shaping the genre’s mainstream direction.
