Leo Zuckermann

Leo Zuckermann is a political analyst known for his commentary on Mexican politics, economics, and the country's relationship with the United States. Zuckermann provides analysis that informs decision-makers, investors, and policymakers on public policy and the dynamics shaping Mexico.

Zuckermann hosts the television show "Es La Hora de Opinar" on FOROtv, a nightly political debate program where he and his guests discuss international trends and national issues. He is also a panelist on the television program "Tercer Grado" on Televisa and serves as a political commentator for Grupo Fórmula's "José Cárdenas Informa." Zuckermann writes the column "Juegos del Poder" in Excelsior, a major Mexican newspaper, and the column is syndicated across regional newspapers. On radio, he also hosts "Artículo Sexto" on Grupo Fórmula.

Zuckermann's background includes a degree in public administration from El Colegio de México, a master's in public policy from the University of Oxford, and two additional master's degrees from Columbia University, where he completed doctoral studies in political science. He holds an honorary doctorate from Universidad ORT México. Prior to his media career, Zuckermann worked at the Office of the President of Mexico, served as a consultant at McKinsey & Company, and was secretary-general of the Center for Economic Research and Teaching (CIDE), where he remains an affiliate professor in the Department of Political Studies.

Zuckermann has received Mexico's National Journalism Award and the José Pagés Llergo National Journalism Award for feature articles. He is regularly included among the 300 most influential leaders in Mexico by Líderes Mexicanos magazine. Zuckermann has participated in discussions at the Baker Institute on the role of journalism in Mexico's democracy.
