Leah Goldstein

Leah Goldstein is a Canadian-Israeli multi-sport athlete whose career spans world championship kickboxing, military service, professional road cycling, and ultra-endurance racing. At age 17, Goldstein won the World Bantamweight Kickboxing Championship. She later enlisted in the Israeli military, becoming one of the few female instructors in the Commando division before joining a special-forces unit focused on counterterrorism and violent crime. After her time in the secret police, Goldstein turned to cycling.

Goldstein transitioned to professional cycling, becoming Israel's duathlon champion and earning national titles in both the time trial and road race disciplines. Her career included overcoming significant adversity, including a life-threatening crash and subsequent injuries. After retiring from the professional road race circuit, Goldstein focused on ultra-endurance cycling.

In ultra-endurance cycling, Goldstein became the first woman to win the overall solo division of Race Across America, a 3,000-mile coast-to-coast event recognized as one of the most challenging cycling races globally. She completed the race in 11 days, 3 hours, and 3 minutes, enduring extreme conditions and finishing 17 hours ahead of her closest competitor. Goldstein also completed the event while suffering from Shermer's Neck, a condition that severely limits neck muscle function. She later competed in the Trans Am Bike Nonstop Race, a self-supported event spanning more than 6,500 kilometers from Astoria, Oregon, to Yorktown, Virginia, finishing in 15 days and 6 hours and setting the fastest overall time for the route.

Goldstein is also an author and motivational speaker. She wrote the memoir "No Limits: The Powerful True Story of Leah Goldstein — World Champion Kickboxer, Ultra Endurance Cyclist, Israeli Undercover Police Officer." As a speaker, Goldstein shares her experiences in high-performance achievement, resilience, and overcoming adversity with audiences worldwide. Her career and contributions to sport have been recognized with induction into the International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame. Goldstein's life story is defined by reinvention, physical courage, and a refusal to accept limits, establishing her as a credible voice in endurance sports and motivational speaking.
