Lauren Blitzer-Wright is a music and entertainment executive with more than two decades of experience in marketing, partnerships, and global digital business. Blitzer-Wright began her career in sales at Condé Nast, then worked as a copywriter for J.Crew before transitioning to the nonprofit sector, raising funds for GLSEN. She later joined Sony Music Entertainment, starting at RED and moving into marketing roles, where she expanded a department and advanced to vice president of business development. In this capacity, Blitzer-Wright focused on unlocking revenue opportunities in areas such as gaming, Web3, and strategic investments, driving innovation and growth through partnerships and digital platforms.
In addition to her corporate roles, Blitzer-Wright has contributed to building a more equitable music industry. She founded the Lone Wolves Club & Community in response to layoffs in the music, tech, and entertainment sectors. What began as a small support group has grown into a nonprofit organization and a Slack community with more than 450 members, connecting professionals and highlighting institutional knowledge across the industry. Lone Wolves Club is dedicated to fostering collaboration, skill-building, and opportunity for music, tech, and entertainment professionals, with a mission to create a more inclusive and resilient industry. Members represent expertise in areas such as global distribution, A&R, digital marketing and sales, licensing, sync, and publishing.
Blitzer-Wright serves as general manager of Keychange, a global initiative focused on gender equity in the music industry, and as head of business development at EVEN, a platform that empowers music creators and supporters to invest in each other. Her work reflects a commitment to reshaping the music business through innovation, advocacy, and community-building.
As a published author and LGBTQ+ advocate, Blitzer-Wright co-wrote the book "Same Sex in the City," published by Simon & Schuster, to foster conversations and community among young gay women. She also contributed to "My Moment," a collection co-authored with Chely Wright, Kristin Chenoweth, Kathy Najimy, and Linda Perry, published by Gallery Books, a division of Simon & Schuster. Blitzer-Wright is recognized for her roles as a podcast host, author, executive, and nonprofit leader, bringing industry expertise and a commitment to authenticity to her work in the music and entertainment sectors.
