Latto

Latto is an Atlanta-based rapper, singer, and songwriter recognized for her contributions to contemporary hip-hop. At age 10, Latto began writing her own songs and decided to pursue a career in rap. Before her television debut, she built a local following by performing at events, opening for other artists, and engaging with fans on social media. At 16, Latto joined the cast of the Queen Latifah- and Jermaine Dupri-produced Lifetime reality TV rap show "The Rap Game." After an eight-week competition, she was crowned the winner but declined the offered recording contract, opting to remain independent and shape her own path in the music industry.

Latto gained national attention with the single "Bitch from Da Souf," which earned double platinum certification from the RIAA and marked her first entry on the Billboard Hot 100. This success led to a deal with RCA Records. She released her debut studio album, "Queen of Da Souf," which reached the Top 50 of the Billboard 200, followed by "777," which peaked at number 15. Latto changed her stage name from Miss Mulatto to Latto and released "Big Energy," which became her highest-charting single, reaching No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Latto achieved several industry milestones, including becoming the first female rapper to have a No. 1 single on Pop, Rhythm, and Urban Radio with "Big Energy," and the first solo female rapper from Atlanta to receive Gold and Platinum RIAA certifications. She received a nomination for Best New Artist at the Grammy Awards, and her collaboration with Cardi B, "Put It on Da Floor Again," was certified platinum. Her third studio album, "Sugar Honey Iced Tea," reached No. 1 on Billboard's Top Rap Albums chart, making her the first solo female rapper from Atlanta to achieve this distinction.

A three-time Grammy nominee and BET Best Female Hip-Hop Artist winner, Latto has been recognized across the music industry. She received the Breakthrough Artist award at Variety Hitmakers and the Powerhouse Award at Billboard Women in Music Awards. Latto was included on the XXL Freshman Class list and named MTV's Global Push Artist of the Month.
