Larry Fitzgerald

Larry Fitzgerald Jr. is recognized as one of the top wide receivers in National Football League history. Before his professional career, Fitzgerald played college football at the University of Pittsburgh, where he earned unanimous All-American honors and won the Biletnikoff Award as the nation's top receiver. He finished as the Heisman Trophy runner-up and became the first sophomore to win the Walter Camp Player of the Year Award. In 26 collegiate games, Fitzgerald recorded 161 catches for 2,677 yards and a Pitt-record 34 receiving touchdowns, leading to the retirement of his No. 1 jersey by the university.

Selected third overall by the Arizona Cardinals in the NFL Draft, Fitzgerald spent his entire 17-season career with the franchise. During this time, he accumulated 1,432 career receptions for 17,492 yards and 121 touchdowns, ranking second in NFL history in each category behind Jerry Rice. Fitzgerald was named to 11 Pro Bowls, earned First-Team All-Pro honors, and was selected for both the NFL 2010s All-Decade Team and the NFL 100th Anniversary All-Time Team. During the Cardinals' run to Super Bowl XLIII, he set NFL postseason records with 546 receiving yards and seven touchdowns, including a go-ahead score in the fourth quarter of the championship game. Fitzgerald was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility.

Fitzgerald's influence extends beyond football. After the loss of his mother, Carol, to breast cancer, he established The Larry Fitzgerald Foundation, originally called the First Down Fund, to honor her legacy. The foundation focuses on providing equitable access to education and technology for underserved youth and supports breast cancer awareness and resources. Fitzgerald received the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award for his charitable work. The foundation has distributed $2.3 million in funding to organizations worldwide, supporting economic development projects in Senegal and Ethiopia and delivering hearing technology in Africa and Southeast Asia. He also received the Heisman Humanitarian Award from the Heisman Trophy Trust for his philanthropic efforts.

Following his football career, Fitzgerald transitioned into business and investment. He earned a certification in entertainment, media, and sports from Harvard Business School and developed a diverse investment portfolio through Larry Fitzgerald Enterprises, which includes more than 160 companies in technology, real estate, hospitality, travel, and sports. Fitzgerald became a minority owner of the NBA's Phoenix Suns and joined Fenway Sports Group, the ownership group for the Boston Red Sox and Liverpool FC. He also co-founded Trenches Capital, a venture firm focused on early-stage technology and enterprise software companies. Fitzgerald's career encompasses professional football, philanthropy, and business leadership, reflecting a commitment to sports, community impact, and entrepreneurship.
