Kimya Motley is an educator, author, filmmaker, and nationally recognized advocate for survivors of domestic and gender-based violence. As the Chief Communications Officer at A Call to Men, she works alongside CEO Tony Porter to advance the organization’s mission of promoting healthy, respectful manhood and preventing violence against women, girls, and marginalized communities. A survivor of domestic and gun violence herself, Motley uses her powerful personal story to inspire healing, accountability, and cultural change. She is the director, co-writer, and co-producer of Intentionally Erased, a groundbreaking documentary amplifying the experiences of Black trans women, and she is the author of the memoir Born of Violence, which chronicles her journey from trauma to resilience. Through her leadership, storytelling, and public speaking, Motley has become a leading voice in violence prevention—championing empathy, equity, and community-centered change across the country.
