Kevin Delaney

Kevin Delaney is a performer, playwright, and educator known for blending theatrical storytelling with scientific inquiry. Delaney's experience working with staff and animals at a zoo, along with developing and presenting educational programs, led to his professional focus on combining storytelling with science communication. He served as director of visitor experience at Arkansas' Museum of Discovery, where he performed "Awesome Science" demonstrations for visitors and created the "Science After Dark" program for adults.

Producers of "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" selected Delaney as their resident science expert after contacting more than 50 science-focused museums nationwide. He appeared regularly on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" and has presented science demonstrations on other television programs, including "The Rachael Ray Show" and "The Untitled Action Bronson Show." In one segment, Delaney created a giant cloud with host Jimmy Fallon and actress Lucy Liu. His recurring appearances on late-night television introduced hands-on science to a broad audience, establishing his role as a science communicator.

Delaney also starred in "Street Science" on Science Channel, hosting the show for two seasons. The program featured unique experiments captured in slow-motion footage, with Delaney and a team of artists, chemists, and engineers presenting science demonstrations to live audiences. The show highlighted the science behind phenomena such as fire, rockets, and explosions.

Delaney has presented science demonstrations at institutions including NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center, where he was featured during Take Our Children to Work Day. As a keynote speaker, he addresses topics in science, education, STEM, technology, computer science, social sciences, and entrepreneurship.
