Kelly Pannek

Kelly Pannek is an accomplished ice hockey forward known for her leadership, scoring touch, and longstanding impact on the U.S. women’s national team program. A native of Plymouth, Minnesota, Pannek emerged as one of the nation’s top players during her collegiate career at the University of Minnesota, where she helped lead the Golden Gophers to multiple NCAA Frozen Four appearances and two national championships. A Patty Kazmaier Award finalist, she finished her college career among the program’s all-time leaders in points, combining high hockey IQ with relentless work ethic and playmaking ability.

On the international stage, Pannek has been a key contributor for Team USA. She was a key member of the U.S. women’s gold-medal winning ice hockey team at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milano Cortina, returning to the Olympic stage after previous appearances in 2018 (where the team also won gold) and 2022 (silver), bringing veteran leadership and experience to the squad. In addition to her Olympic success, Pannek has earned multiple medals at the IIHF Women’s World Championships.

Professionally, Pannek has competed in top women’s leagues in North America, including stints in the Professional Women’s Hockey Players Association (PWHPA) prior to the launch of the Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL). Known for her competitive edge and commitment to growing the women’s game, she has been an advocate for better opportunities and visibility for female athletes.
