Katie Holmes

Katie Holmes, widely recognized for her role as Joey Potter on the television series "Dawson's Creek" from 1998 to 2003, made her film debut in "The Ice Storm" in 1997. Holmes has since appeared in a variety of films, including "Batman Begins" and "The Secret: Dare to Dream." She became a familiar face on Broadway following her debut in the 2008 production of Arthur Miller's "All My Sons" and returned in 2024 for the revival of "Our Town." Furthermore, Holmes portrayed Jacqueline Kennedy in the TV miniseries "The Kennedys" and reprised this role in "The Kennedys: After Camelot." Her versatility as an actress is demonstrated through her significant roles in films such as "The Singing Detective," "The Gift," and "Wonder Boys."

Aside from acting, Holmes has made considerable strides behind the camera as well. She directed and starred in the 2016 film "All We Had," marking her directorial debut. In 2022, she not only wrote and directed the film "Alone Together" but also made her screenwriting debut. Her directorial prowess continued to be displayed in 2023 when she directed and acted in the movie "Rare Objects." Additionally, she has been involved in public endorsements and launched a fashion line called Holmes & Yang.

Throughout her career, Holmes' performances have garnered several accolades. She won the MTV Movie Award for Best Breakthrough Performance for her role in "Disturbing Behavior," and she received a Satellite Award for Best Actress for her role in "Pieces of April." In 2011, she was honored with the Women in Film Max Mara Face of the Future Award. Holmes' contributions to the arts extend to the foundation she co-founded, the Dizzy Feet Foundation, which offers dance scholarships.
