Katie Cleary Biography
Katie Cleary, known for her multi-faceted career as a model, activist, animal lover, and filmmaker, first gained recognition from her participation in the popular reality show "America's Next Top Model". Her acting career extended to roles in high-profile television shows such as "CSI NY", "Las Vegas", "Entourage", "Rules of Engagement", "Chuck", and "Working Class". Cleary now focuses primarily on animal welfare and activism - she is a contributor and founder of World Animal News, and the founder and president of non-profit organization Peace 4 Animals.
As a filmmaker, Cleary is known for executive-producing and directing animal welfare documentary "Why on Earth" and nature documentary "Give Me Shelter". Her latest documentary, "Protectors of the Wild," aims to educate the public on wild wolves, whose presence can help revitalize struggling ecosystems.
Cleary has worked with organizations such as "Shambala" and the "Wild Life Waystation" and produced the "Diamond's Not Fur" Humanitarian Awards to support animal welfare and the "Fur Free" movement in West Hollywood. Cleary served an instrumental role in the passing of the West Hollywood "Fur Free" bill in November 2011, marking a significant milestone in her advocacy work.
Cleary is the founder of both World Animal News and Peace 4 Animals.
