Karen Tui Boyes

Karen Tui Boyes is a New Zealand-based international speaker, educator, and entrepreneur with a focus on lifelong learning, effective teaching, and educational leadership. As the founder and CEO of Spectrum Education Limited, Boyes has led a team for more than 30 years, working to support teachers, students, and parents in understanding and maximizing the learning process. She also serves as principal of Spectrum Online Academy and is an affiliate director of the Institute for the Habits of Mind.

Boyes holds the Certified Speaking Professional accreditation and has presented across five continents, in 18 countries, and has worked with more than 200 organizations. Her expertise includes study skills, motivation, positive thinking, and the implementation of educational research into practical strategies. Boyes is the author of 14 books and the creator of "Teachers Matter" Magazine, "Teachers Matter" Conference, "Kids Matter" Conference, "Study Smart" Workshops, and Habits of Mind Bootcamp. Her published works include "Creating An Effective Learning Environment," "Project Genius," "Study Smart," "Creating the Life of Your Dreams," and "Roots and Wings."

Boyes organizes the Teachers Matter Summit, which brings together educators worldwide to discuss leadership, pedagogy, and wellbeing. She has received recognition such as NZ Educator of the Year, NZ Speaker of the Year, NZ Business Woman of the Year, and Global Evolutionary Woman of the Year.
