Kaillie Humphries

Kaillie Humphries is a Canadian-American bobsledder who has consistently made her mark in the sport. She has won gold medals in both the Vancouver 2010 and Sochi 2014 Olympic Games, making her and her teammate the first female bobsled team to repeat as Olympic champions. Humphries' achievements extended beyond the Olympic stage, as she clinched multiple FIBT World Cup overall season championships, including the 2012–13, 2013–14, and 2015–16 seasons. Her proficiency in the sport was recognized in 2014 when she won the Lou Marsh Award, an annual recognition given to Canada's top athlete.

In 2019, Humphries switched her allegiance from Canada to the United States due to alleged abuse and harassment from the Canadian bobsled federation. This change saw her continue her winning ways, capturing gold in the monobob event at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics. Humphries' success in the United States also includes three IBSF World Championship medals won during the 2020 and 2021 seasons. Notably, she became the first female bobsledder to win a double world title at the 2021 IBSF World Championships, sweeping the two-woman and monobob events.

Humphries has broken barriers in bobsledding, piloting mixed-gender teams and being the first woman to drive an all-female team against men in a four-person World Cup bobsled race. Beyond her sporting achievements, Humphries is engaged in activism, affiliating with movements such as the "I've Been Bullied" campaign, Right to Play, and the Special Olympics. She has demonstrated her public speaking experience by addressing elementary schools in Calgary about the importance of physical activity, setting goals, and avoiding drugs.
