Joyce Odidison

Joyce Odidison is a leader in the fields of interpersonal wellness, mental health recovery, and organizational well-being. Recognized for her expertise in Interpersonal Wellness Competency Teaching, Odidison has spent nearly three decades supporting individuals, teams, and organizations in transforming high-stress conflicts into sustainable wellness. As a conflict analyst, master certified coach, certified training and development professional, and university lecturer, Odidison bridges the science of human behavior with the practical demands of modern workplaces. Her neuroscience-based approach is utilized by governments, private sector companies, non-profits, and post-secondary institutions addressing interpersonal dynamics, diversity and inclusion conflicts, burnout, and psychological safety challenges.

Odidison’s career trajectory shifted early in her mediation work when a client experienced a heart attack during a session. This event redirected her focus from conflict resolution to conflict prevention and interpersonal wellness. She developed the Pre-Mediation Model, a coaching process outlined in her book "Getting Ready for Mediation: A Pre-Mediation Concept," and later created the Interpersonal Wellness System model and the Interpersonal Wellness Quotient, a multi-dimensional assessment tool for measuring relationship wellness.

As president and CEO of Interpersonal Wellness Services Inc., Odidison has established a comprehensive ecosystem of wellness resources and programs. She is the creator of the Well-being Intelligence System, a science-based resilience ecosystem powered by the Nine-Dimensional Wellness Improvement System, used by insurers, employee assistance programs, and organizations to diagnose risks, accelerate recovery, and rebuild high-performing teams. Odidison is also the founder and training director of Coach Velocity School of Coaching, an International Coach Federation-approved program that teaches wellness competency mindset strategies and behavior transformation coaching. Additionally, she serves as publisher of Faces of Workplace Wellness Magazine and hosts the "What's Happening at Work" podcast.

Odidison has authored seven books on conflict resolution, interpersonal intelligence, workplace wellness, and resilience, including "Interpersonal Wellness System: Improving Your Interpersonal Intelligence" and "Wellness Improvement System Assessment." She is the founder of the Annual Global Workplace Wellness Summit, an event convening wellness professionals and organizational leaders worldwide.
