Josh Stock

Josh Stock is a middle school educator and author recognized for his contributions to K-12 education and educational technology. Stock teaches a range of language arts subjects, including reading, writing, journalism, ninth grade English, sixth to ninth grade reading, reading seminar, and newspaper. He serves as a sixth grade language arts teacher at Santa Fe Trail Middle School in Olathe, Kansas.

Stock holds a bachelor's degree in education and English and a master's degree in instructional design and technology from Emporia State University. His expertise includes integrating Web 2.0 tools such as podcasts and blogs into the classroom, as well as utilizing classroom maker spaces to enhance student engagement. Stock also coaches robotics and consults on projects with Kansas University, presenting at conferences nationwide.

Stock's work in educational technology has been recognized by the National School Board Association's 20 to Watch Educational Tech Leaders list and the International Society for Technology in Education's Make It Happen Award. He has presented at conferences including ISTE, MACE, NCTE, and various district events.

Stock is the author of "Awesome Sauce: Create Videos to Inspire Students, Engage Parents and Save You Time." The book provides educators with practical strategies for using video to support student learning, foster classroom culture, connect with parents, and differentiate instruction. Structured as a guide, "Awesome Sauce" explores both the rationale and implementation of these strategies, with each section beginning with a narrative about Stock's classroom experiences.

Stock has served in leadership roles on the Technology Research Team, Common Core Lesson Planning Team, Building Leadership Team, and Technology Cadre. Through his classroom teaching and conference presentations, Stock advocates for creativity and technology as essential tools in modern education.
