José Morey

Dr. José Morey is a Puerto Rican physician and innovator recognized for integrating medical technology with space exploration and STEAM education. As founder and CEO of Ad Astra Media LLC, Morey develops educational content aimed at increasing diversity in science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics fields. His medical background includes a degree from the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine, advanced studies at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, and a fellowship from the University of Pennsylvania, providing a foundation in healthcare and emerging technologies.

Morey has held roles in medical innovation and digital health transformation, including serving as associate chief health officer for IBM Watson Health, where he led research and development of medical artificial intelligence technologies from conception to commercialization in the United States and internationally. He has advised organizations such as NASA, IBM, and the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy on the intersection of medicine and technology. Morey also co-founded Ever Medical Technologies, an e-health company focused on decentralizing healthcare data, and contributed to the launch of Ever Healthcare, an online medical outreach platform in Thailand.
