Johnny "Joey" Jones

Staff Sergeant (Ret.) Johnny Joey Jones, a combat-wounded Marine Corps veteran, has dedicated his career to sharing the perspective and gratitude gained through his recovery from a life-changing disability. Jones is a contributor across all FOX News Media platforms, including FOX News Channel, FOX Business Network, and FOX Nation, where he serves as a rotating host for several programs such as "Fox & Friends," "The Five," "Big Weekend Show," and "Fox News Tonight."

After graduating high school, Jones enlisted in the Marine Corps. Over eight years of service, he worked as an explosive ordnance disposal technician, deploying to Iraq and Afghanistan. During his final deployment, Jones and his team rendered safe and destroyed more than 80 improvised explosive devices and thousands of pounds of bulk explosives. He sustained severe injuries, including the loss of both legs above the knee and significant damage to his right forearm and wrists, after initiating an IED.

Jones completed an extensive recovery at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and later earned a bachelor's degree in liberal studies and social and public policy from Georgetown University. He founded a peer visit program at Walter Reed to mentor newly injured patients and completed a fellowship with the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs, which led to the creation of an annual fellowship for wounded Marines. Jones has also served as chief operating officer of Boot Campaign and as senior advisor at Zac Brown’s Camp Southern Ground, where he developed military transition programs.

Jones is a New York Times best-selling author; his book "Unbroken Bonds of Battle" has reached the top of the charts. FOX Nation premiered his special "Alive Day: The Reunion," which marks the anniversary of the IED explosion and reunites Jones with his explosive ordnance disposal unit to reflect on their experiences and honor those lost.

An advocate for hunting, fishing, and habitat conservation, Jones hosts Fox Nation Outdoors, the first hunting show featured on a major cable news property, and regularly organizes hunting retreats for veterans and first responders.
