John Donvan Biography
John Donvan is a moderator of "Open to Debate," a award-winning journalist, author, and filmmaker. He is known as "America's Debate Moderator."
Donvan is the recipient of four Emmy Awards and the Overseas Press Club Award. He coauthored the bestselling book, "In a Different Key: The Story of Autism," which was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in nonfiction. Donvan also served as co-director and co-producer of the documentary "In a Different Key," an official selection at several film festivals.
Throughout his journalism career, Donvan anchored various ABC broadcasts, served as chief White House correspondent, and held multiyear postings in London, Moscow, Jerusalem and Amman, Jordan. Earlier, he worked as a foreign correspondent for CNN and in local television and radio news. Donvan has contributed as an editor to The Atlantic.
Donvan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dartmouth College and is a graduate of Columbia University's School of Journalism.
