Joaquin Duato is the chairman and chief executive officer of Johnson & Johnson, a leading global healthcare products company. With a career at Johnson & Johnson spanning more than three decades, Duato has held multiple leadership roles across various geographies and business segments, culminating in his appointments as CEO and chairman. During his tenure, Johnson & Johnson has emphasized innovative medicines and medtech solutions, advancing developments in areas such as cell therapy and robotic-assisted surgery, and overseeing the separation of the company’s consumer health segment into the independent Kenvue.

Duato has played a significant role in transforming Johnson & Johnson’s pharmaceutical division, guiding its growth through strategic investments in core therapeutic areas and the launch of new products. As vice chairman of the executive committee, he directed the company’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, focusing on supply chain resilience and the continued delivery of essential medicines worldwide.
