Joanna Smith has provided school attendance consultation, technical assistance and coaching services to over 3,000 educators, and have led workshops/trainings to mid-size and large districts, totaling 6,000+.

Smith has been featured in EdSurge, CBS News, District Administration, Tech & Learning, CIO Review and at SXSWEDU providing expertise on boosting attendance, strengthening student engagement, and combining artificial intelligence, proactive nudges, and rigorous research to improve student outcomes. Her company's effective and proprietary technology has been featured in NPR, The New York Times, The Hechinger Report, and The World Bank blog.

Prior to launching AllHere, Smith managed family engagement, child development, and personalized learning research, supporting schools and districts along the East Coast including Boston, Massachusetts and Miami, Florida. Smith studied liberal arts at Harvard University, where she graduated cum laude.

Smith has roots in education, she taught middle school mathematics and served as a Director of Family Engagement at a charter school in Boston, MA. After extensive research and launching her own chronic absenteeism campaign, Smith formed AllHere to support school and district leaders looking to improve learning and life outcomes for K-12 students. AllHere is now recognized as a leading innovator in developing and implementing comprehensive attendance intervention solutions with schools around the U.S.
