Joani Gammill Biography
Joani Gammill, known professionally as “Joani the Interventionist,” is a certified intervention professional (CIP). She works as a drug and alcohol intervention facilitator, family interventionist, and speaker.
Gammill began her career as a registered nurse, working from 1978 to 1996 primarily in a hospital neonatal unit. She later transitioned into alcohol and drug rehabilitation nursing at The Hope House, a state-run facility in Crownsville, Maryland, where she worked for seven years.
In May 2005, Gammill underwent a life-altering intervention led by Dr. Phil McGraw during the televised annual special “Escaping Addiction.” Following that experience, she dedicated her career to conducting interventions full time.
