Jinnie Choi

Jinnie Choi is an interior designer, set designer, art director, and production designer with a career spanning home renovation television and professional design production. A graduate of Otis College of Art and Design's Architecture/Landscape/Interiors program, Choi has applied her formal training to a career that integrates creative design with hands-on craftsmanship.

Choi began her television career as an assistant art director on Discovery Channel's "Monster House" and MTV's "Home Wreckers." She later became a regular on HGTV's "Carter Can," appearing in 77 episodes alongside renovation expert Carter Oosterhouse. As the show's resident designer, Choi contributed to home improvement projects, implementing practical and progressive design techniques for homeowners nationwide.

Her television credits include serving as production designer on "HGTV'd" and art director on "In the Big House," as well as working on "You're Cut Off," "Food Network Star," "Kitchen Nightmares," "Hotel Impossible," and "Bang for Your Buck." Choi also led a renovation of William Shatner's home for The William Shatner Project on DIY Network, establishing her as a design expert in television production.

Choi's work has been featured on Oprah Winfrey Network's "Home Made Simple," where her eco-conscious design approach was highlighted. Notable projects include a shim accent wall crafted from recycled construction shims stained in three shades, demonstrating her ability to transform basic materials into impactful design elements. With experience as art director, design producer, production designer, set decorator, design consultant, design coordinator, and on-screen host, Choi offers technical expertise, creative vision, and practical craftsmanship to each project in the interior design and television production industries.
