Louderback began his career at PC Week, serving as Executive Lab Director, where he refined product reviews into news stories and was recognized by the SPA for his journalism. He later became editor-in-chief of "Windows Sources," where he refocused the publication on Windows 95, resulting in increased newsstand sales and industry recognition for design and content.
Louderback played a key role in launching ZDTV, later known as TechTV, the first 24-hour technology television channel. As Vice President and Editorial Director, he developed TechTV's content strategy, blending help, product information, news, and entertainment. He hosted "Fresh Gear" and developed "TechLive," a daily, live news program delivering technology reporting, market news, and executive interviews. After TechTV, Louderback served as Editor-in-Chief for Ziff Davis Media's internet properties, managing PCMag.com, eWeek, and ExtremeTech, before becoming Senior Vice President and Editor-in-Chief of PC Magazine.
Louderback transitioned to the startup sector, joining Revision3 as CEO. He led the company through significant growth in viewership, revenue, and distribution, culminating in its acquisition by Discovery Communications. He contributed to the expansion of Discovery Digital Networks before focusing on VidCon, where he led its growth from a single conference to a global series of events, and managed its strategic sale to Paramount. Louderback has also served as a Venture Partner at Social Starts and consulted for various technology and media companies.
Louderback currently publishes "Inside the Creator Economy," a weekly newsletter focused on trends in digital media, the creator economy, and technology, reaching a global audience of brand leaders, creators, and executives.
