Board-certified psychiatrist Dr. Jessica Clemons, MD, has recently been recognized by Forbes as a leader in making mental health and wellness apart of the current zeitgeist. Dr. Clemons received her medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical College of Cornell University and completed her residency training at New York University Langone Medical Center. While her work is primarily in providing direct clinical care, her mission is to reduce stigma associated with mental illness. Her efforts consists of using social media to educate her following which led her to be selected to provide the first live televised therapy session on VH1, “In Session Live: With Dr. Jess,” along with recognition from medical societies, mental health and government organizations, and most importantly, the community in which she serves. Having been featured on multiple networks as a mental health expert from CNN to ABC News, Dr. Clemons continues to impact the community. Even more so through her conversation series, BeWell, which has featured prestigious guests Swizz Beatz, Tobe Nwigwe, June Ambrose, Kerby Jean-Raymond and more.
